Intacs

Intacs are corneal implants that are used to treat keratoconus for our Las Vegas patients for whom CXL is not an option due to the level of severity. Intacs corneal implant rings flatten the shape of the cornea, correcting the steep cornea of nearsighted patients or reducing the bulge associated with keratoconus. Dr. Wellish simply inserts these tiny crescent-shaped pieces of plastic polymer into the cornea in a procedure that usually only takes about 15 to 20 minutes!
